SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

My trip to San Francisco was my all time favorite. I’ve never been to a city I enjoyed more than the city of San Francisco. Last year I took two trips to the bay, and on the first visit I absolutely fell in love with it from the start. Stepping foot into the airport I already knew I was going to love it. I loved the one-hour drive through the mountains on a chilly day to my friends apartment in Colma. The best part of visiting San Francisco the first time was being able to see things as a resident of the city, not as a tourist.

Since I was there on a hunt to visit universities, I was able to see things from a different perspective. Most of the days my friend had school, and so I would wander off into the city, hop on and off trains and make very interesting friends on the way. I visited almost every single historical place in the city. Having loved SF so much, it was only right that I take my parents as well. So winter of 2014 my family and I made our way over to San Francisco. This time I managed to get them to only the best restaurants and locations. Winter in SF was so worth it. It has been one of my favorite places to spend winter thus far. From visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, to seeing the city from the Twin Peaks, to ice skating in Union Park, to going around Alcatraz, San Francisco did not fail.

On this trip I stayed in the hotel Le Meridien. I recommend everyone to stay at this hotel. The service was great, the location was just perfect and the view from the window was the most breathtaking thing to see in the mornings. Below are some pictures to give you a visual of where I ate and what I did. Here you’ll find pictures from both my trips to San Francisco. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
