It’s not very often I go out to a super fancy restaurant. I like my meals big and the price low. However, living in Miami it’s impossible to avoid a high-end restaurant every once in a while. If you’re ever in Miami, I’ve gathered a quick list (because everyone loves lists) to some of the fancier restaurants I’ve been to, enjoy!
1. Cibo Wine Bar in Miami BeachIt’s no doubt this place is located where it is. It is absolutely beautiful on the inside and right by the beach. Not to mention the extravagant wine cooler.
2.Morton’s in BrickellI came here with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day and I’m not going to lie it was incredibly expensive for such small portions. Not to mention my raspberry with whip cream dessert was so pricey. Regardless, the food was delicious and the setting was great.
3.Rusty Pelican in Key BiscayneI LOVE this place. I used to come here every Sunday for brunch as a child but never went as an adult. The view is spectacular, the grilled octopus appetizer is to die for. For entree I highly recommend the grilled swordfish with sautéed mushrooms and onions. 5 out of 5 for this place!
4.Carpaccio At Bal HarbourSo, this is my number 1 favorite restaurant and it has everything to do with the fact that my boyfriend brought us here for our first date (good job babe). I absolutely love this restaurant. Every time I go I order the same thing Pescespada Acapulco (Swordfish with artichokes, lemon butter, white wine and diced shrimp). I also highly recommend the lentil soup. Honestly, everything on the menu is mouthwatering.
5.The Forge in Miami BeachLet me begin by saying the inside of this restaurant is AMAZING as well as the service. The food was a bit underwhelming for how pricey it was. It was tiny and didn’t give me a chance to truly enjoy the flavors. I ordered the General Tso’s Octopus which comes with Broccoli, Cashew, Blood Orange, and Black Rice.
6.Cantina La Veinte in BrickellThis restaurant/bar is both beautiful on the inside and outside. The outside faces Brickell key and the view of the water is very pleasing. The lobster tacos were delicious, I think thats where my love for tacos began. This place is great for after work happy hour.
7.PM Buenos Aires in BrickellTook my mom here for her birthday with the whole family and it was such a perfect night. The service was incredible, everyone was attentive. The food was exquisite. We had octopus, ceviche, fish, meat, everything on the menu. For dessert we had fruit sorbet teardrops of raspberry, lemon, and mango. So delicious.
8.KYU in Wynwood
I highly recommend going to this restaurant and sharing family style. The time we went it was about 8 people, we ordered crunchy kale (not my fav) roasted cauliflower, grilled octopus, steamed bun, Thai fried rice stone pot, duck, white beans, grouper. Pretty much the whole menu and we just shared with everyone. It was such a good dinner and the ambiance was great.
