EXERCISE YOUR WAY AROUND MIAMI

I’m so thankful to live in a city with so many fitness options. I’ve never been a big gym person, it can be a bit intimidating and overwhelming. I also love being outdoors when I’m working out.  Since living in Brickell, Miami, I’ve been exposed to so many new choices for working out. I don’t have a strict membership at any studio because I like to change it up every once in a while, makes working out so much more enjoyable. Below are a few of my favorite studios to get you out of that gym rut and try something new and fun.

  1. Redbike Studios – I’ve been going to Redbike Studios since they opened their first studio in Brickell (now they’re in Aventura). Not only is it just a fun way to exercise if you enjoy a spinning class but the people are amazing. Everyone from the juice bar to the owner to the  instructors are incredibly friendly and fun. They definitely know how to pump up the crowd.
  2. Greenmonkey Yoga – I have to say this is my absolute favorite place and form of workout ever. I have loved yoga for years and soon after moving back to Miami, I found Greenmonkey and I’m so happy that I did. Every single professor at this studio is so sweet and calm. The best part is they have several locations, my go-to studio is in Sunset Harbour in Miami Beach. They recently moved upstairs and the yoga room overlooks the beautiful neighborhood and water. There is no better way to get your workout in. They also host yoga events all the time, some of the instructors were part of a yoga + drinks event this year called “Leggings Lounge,” it was an hour of yoga followed my goodie bags and happy hour. What more could you ask for?
  3. Pilates ProWorks – In all honesty, pilates is way to hard for me. I tried Pilates ProWorks when I was working on a school project, I figured it’d be a piece of cake being that I’m fairly active and in shape. Yeah right, I could barely get through the first 10 minutes of class. I will say however, the owner of this studio located in Coral Gables was very nice. They have both pilates and boxing in the same studio and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good ass kicking.
  4. Soul Cycle – Another moment of honesty, I died the first time I went to Soul Cycle. I decided to sit in the front seat thinking it wouldn’t be as hard considering I’ve been to Redbike multiple times. I was totally wrong, it was awesome I felt like I had worked out for hours, I was dead. The studio in Merrick Park in Coral Gables was beautiful and clean, they had everything you could possibly need in the girls locker room. The music and the ambiance was great, I was pumped up the whole day. I would definitely go back for another workout.
