I’m not one to make Valentine’s day a big deal. However, this year I decided it was time to bring the romance and try something new for my boyfriend. Between moving to a new apartment and getting a new job, we haven’t made time to go on an actual date, so this was the perfect day to do something special.   It seems like 22 passed by in the blink of an eye. Now I’m 23 and I’m going to try my best to truly appreciate it. I spent my birthday (December 30th) with family surrounded by a fire followed by an amazing homemade meal. It’s been years since I’ve spent a birthday in Florida, nonetheless with a home cooked meal rather than a fancy restaurant.
