HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS THAT MAKE ADULTING EASY

I’m not going to lie, it has taken me a while to find household products that actually worked and didn’t leave my hands dry and rough. I have tested out so many dish soaps and kitchen hand soaps and nothing worked, my hands just kept getting drier and drier. I found Mrs Meyer’s when Publix starting carrying it, although it was a little pricier ($3.99) than your usual Windex and Dial soap. I have to say I am absolutely obsessed with anything Mrs Meyer’s and no matter how much more I have to pay, I will never go back to cheap household products. The products… View Post

BOOKS AND BOOKS

Ever since I was a little girl I loved buying new books, I’d stock up at the book fair and go home and spend all night reading. I always enjoyed drinking a cup of tea and sitting on my bed with a good book. Cutting to the chase, I’ve narrowed down a few of my favorite books at the moment, this changes often because every new book I read always becomes my favorite. I’m also a huge Goodreads fan, follow me so you can stay updated on the books I’m reading, want to read and finished reading! Comment and let me know your thoughts, I’m… View Post

VEGAN CACAO BROWNIES

Yes, you read it correctly, vegan cacao brownies. I’ve been experimenting lately with different recipes for healthy desserts. Not to mention easy, I’m not a big fan of long and hard recipes. I came across this great recipe from Gimme Some Oven and I ran to Whole Foods to get ingredients. The ingredients are gluten free, organic and vegan which is a lot healthier. It’s quite easy, took me about 15 minutes and 30 minutes overall to cook the brownies. I did mine with half cacao chips and the other half with unsweetened coconut flakes. I plop them in the freezer because I LOVE frozen brownies! They’re so… View Post

SOUP IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL

I’ve always loved cooking, ever since I was young my mother let me play around and experiment with food at home. I was obsessed with the Food Network! As I got older my eating habits changed a bit and cooking became rather dull. I loved the idea of wanting to cook something new, but was lazy to buy ingredients and follow a recipe. However, now that I’m a bit older I’ve made it a priority to learn how to cook and I guess you can call me a chef, maybe, not really. Anyway, my boyfriend’s parents got us a dutch oven for Christmas and I… View Post

A GIRL AND HER WORKSPACE

One of my favorite places to decorate, when it comes to my apartment, is my work area – my desk in particular. Though having to sit down to do work can be a daunting task, there is something soul pleasing about being able to sit at my desk with all of my surroundings looking posh. However, I would like to thank Pinterest for all the inspiration. I truly enjoy white furniture, I believe it brings out an elegant look to the whole room. Accessorizing my desk is the most enjoyable part. I usually visit any off-price department store for desk decor whether it’s candles, book holdings, or pencil holders.… View Post

COFFEE DETOX?

Last week I gave up coffee for exactly five days. Let me tell you, it was not easy. I felt like a true addict. All the symptoms of a withdraw were there. I had terrible headaches, felt nauseous and I was sluggish and tired. However, after the 3rd-day things started to shape up. After the full five days, it felt so easy to simply say no to coffee. I don’t know about you but I love the smell and taste of coffee, so I began to incorporate decaf coffee from my favorite coffee shop, Dr. Smood, into my diet. Although decaf still has a bit of… View Post
